  • Los Altos Festival of Lights Parade

    Information: www.losaltosparade.org

The Los Altos Festival of Lights Parade celebrates the beginning of the holiday season in Downtown Los Altos the Sunday after Thanksgiving at 6:00 PM.   The theme “A Child’s Holiday Fantasy” comes to life with colorful lighted floats, local High School Marching Bands playing holiday music, and costumed characters all lit up with hundreds of lights. It comes to an exciting conclusion with the arrival of Santa Claus and his reindeer!  This hour long event starts at First and State Streets and winds its way through town, ending on Whitney and Second Street.  Originating in 1978, it is produced by the Los Altos Festival of Lights Association, a non-profit all volunteer organization.  Funding is provided by donations and the sales of glow necklaces and toys on parade night.  With the mission, “Bringing Our Community Together to Share the Warmth of the Holiday Season” this event is for the whole family.  Come join us!
